Go on Pop, don't turn away, give Gran a bunk up! Given the effort involved, I hope that Maud is climbing onto the correct coach, 'cos this one is only going as far as Salisbury from Victoria Coach Station. Royal Blue (Western National) 2237, XUO720, a Bristol MW6G ECW C41F new 5/58.
Eventually Royal Blue saw the light (in March 66) and reduced the seating to C39F. It passed to South Wales Transport in 1971 and suffered the indignity of being converted to DP45F and later made the one way trip to Barnsley in 1974 - detail from the excellent bristolsu.co.uk website.
I wonder why 2237 doesn't have anti-macassars fitted like the later DDV or GUO registered MW behind.
