Walsall 341, NDH958, a Sunbeam F4 with Brush H30/26R bodywork, stands in Bloxwich High Street whilst the crew enjoy some fresh air on a hot afternoon. The trolley is operating the 30 Circular and has arrived from Walsall via Leamore and will return via Blakenhall. The Circular in the opposite direction was numbered 15.
341 was one of a batch of ten similar vehicles delivered in 1951; of these 342, which had been lengthened to 30' in May 1965, together with 338-341 in original condition, survived until the closure of the system. By this time 338-341 were the oldest complete trolleybuses in service in England.
In the background (in front of the shops) the eagle-eyed may just be able to spot the wiring in Wolverhampton Road which took the 31s towards Mossley Estate and the 33s towards Dudley Fields and Beechdale estates.
