Teesside Municipal Transport T282, GAJ12 an Sunbeam F4 with East Lancs H56R body new in 1950 to TRTB as its car 2 and rebodied by Roe in 1964.
It is seen here at the North Ormesby terminus using the Hampden Street reverser that came into use from April 1970 and emerging into Smeaton Street.
The original North Ormesby terminus was about 200 yards further along Smeaton Street where it would turn via a very tight turning circle at the junction of Smeaton Street, Langbaurgh Place and West Terrace.
This junction was controlled by traffic lights but once a trolleybus approached the traffic lights were automatically set to red in all directions to allow the trolley to undertake the difficult manouvre safely.

The route was cut back to Hampden Street in 1970 in preparation for the clearance of the western end of Smeaton Street and its environs for construction of the A66 trunk road.

Alan, I hope I've got this right!
