Passing the Leeds Central Bus Station is Leeds rail derrick 2 which had been converted from Chamberlain 420. New in passenger service on 27th July 1927 with a Leeds built 46/26 body on E.M.B. Pivotal trucks, it had these replaced by a Peckham P35 truck in March 1948 and last ran in passenger service on 28th May 1953.
It was converted to rail derrick 2 and entered service on 18th September 1953, and remained in use until the system closed.
