Halifax Corporation Tramways 71, seen at the Skircoat Road depot, was the first of twelve trams built in 1902 with open-top Brush bodies seating 24/20 on Brush 21E type trucks.
In 1903 it was fitted with an experimental roll-top cover by Kensington-Milnes of Halifax, as seen here. This was removed in 1904, after a fire. A flat roof top cover was fitted in 1907 by Turner of Halifax and it had been withdrawn by 1922.
