Trams

Glasgow 1100 seen entering Partick depot was an experimental bogie tram which had started life in November 1928 as a standard bogie tram in the 1090-1140 batch.
It had a Hurst Nelson 40/29 body on Kilmarnock Engineering Co. bogies, but in October 1929 it was taken to the Coplawhill car works and the Kilmarnock Engineering Co. bogies replaced by Brill 61E1 bogies. At some point between September and November 1940, the Brill bogies were removed and Kilmarnock Engineering Co. ones fitted. It was being used mainly on morning/evening shipyard duties and after closure of the Glasgow system, left Glasgow for the Crich Tramway Museum in March 1964.
