A mystery Leyland Royal Tiger.
I'm hoping that one or more of the many sleuths on this site will be able to solve a 52 year old mystery for me. In July 1964 we were waiting at Larne to board the Caledonian Princess for the voyage to Stranraer, after a two week holiday in Eire. Standing on the dockside was this vehicle, looking very sorry for itself. As can be seen, it had no front registration number and I suspect it had no rear number either, otherwise I would have recorded it. As it was, the only information I could gather about it was that it was a Royal Tiger, and that it had previously run for Timperley Coaches (hence the "TC" device on the front). Other than that, nothing.
Can anyone fill in any of the missing details for me after all this time such as registration number, date new, body builder - certainly not one of the mainstream ones, original owner if not Timperley Coaches and any ideas who it was intended for in Ireland - assuming that it had just arrived in Larne from Stranraer, and wasn't waiting to be shipped back to Scotland for scrapping.
