CIE P28, ZD7168, was a 1948 Leyland Tiger OPS3 with a CIE B39F body. It was part of a batch of 30, P1-30, withdrawals of which began in 1962 and included this example.
Apparently it had a short spell as a towing vehicle ("Tow Car"), but by July 1964 when this photo was taken it was completely out of use and lying outside Galway depot, having been robbed of its engine and seats.
