The Lowlanders, new in 1963, had a relatively short life with Southend Transport. This shot shows the former 326, 7090HJ, withdrawn in 1976, in the ST works being prepared for a new career as team transport and promoting Robinsons Barley Water at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Canada.
It remains in Canada, as seen in this 2000 shot.
The single decker alongside is a London Transport Red Arrow MBA Merlin - ST were overhauling a number of these at this time, one of several bound for Belfast.
