Southdown 825 LUF825 was one of the final 5 delivered (in May) of the 20 Harrington Wayfarer bodied Leyland PSU1/15 Royal Tiger tourers ordered for the 1952 season.
This uncredited photo in Roger's collection was taken in 1953 (possibly in June when several Coach Cruises were cancelled owing to lack of demand caused by the Coronation). Any guesses as to the location?
Alongside is Hants & Dorset 660 JEL100, a 1949 Bristol L6B with a Beadle C28F body that was later rebuilt to full-front by the operator in 1958. Somewhere in my collection I have a shot of it in this form after it was sold to Commando Cleaners of Warwick.
