Southdown 801, LCD201, a Leyland PSU1/15 Royal Tiger/ Duple Ambassador C26C was the second of ten 2 and 1 seated tourers new in 1951.
It was photographed by Roger's friend Roy Brown when it was newly delivered at Hilsea. According to Roger's notes it was only at Hilsea for 2 days as Continental Tours were then centered on Brighton, and that 'About 40 other blokes took the same shot that day'. I wonder who they were? Any of you on SCT61? It must have looked pretty spectacular in May 1951 compared to its predecessors.
