Another delightful photo from Roger Janes' collection, this one taken by his friend Ralph Cheeseman - oh for a time machine. The star of the image is Southdown 58, EUF558, the last of a batch of 4 Leyland Cub KPZ4 with Harrington C20F coachwork new in 1938 which was not withdrawn until 1956.
Keeping the Cub company in Southdown's Freshfield Road Garage in Kemp Town, Brighton in June 1953 was fellow Southdown 813 LUF813 (1952 Leyland PSU1/15 Harrington C26C); Aldershot & District 1949 Strachan bodied Dennis Lancet J3 852, GOU817 and Maidstone & District 1949 Harrington bodied AEC Regal III CO108, KKK847.
