Southdown 410, GUF70, a Guy Arab II / PRV new 4/44 and converted to open top 1/51.
That summer it was transferred to Hayling Island to operate on the seasonal 46 on Hayling Island from Hayling Ferry to Eastoke House via the Sea Front.
My question is - How did it get there? Apparently the weight limit on the Langstone Bridge was reduced from 6ton 6cwt to 5 tons in 1954. Surely a wartime Guy Arab (even with the top off) would weigh more than 6ton 6cwt? Any ideas? It was withdrawn and sold for scrap in April 1959
