Southdown 16, CUF516, a Leyland KPZ2 Cub/Park Royal B20F was new in July 1936 and was at Brighton immediately after WWII, migrating to Hayling in due course.
In 1950 (together with 3 other one-man operated Cubs) it had its petrol engine replaced by a Leyland 4.7 litre diesel engine and, as such, it survived until the end of regular Cub operations in October 1956. Not a bad stint - 20 years for a pre-war 'lightweight'.
