London Transport LT1009, GN4783, an AEC Renown new in 1931.
Postwar, to extend the life of the Scooters, sixty of them were sent to Marshalls at Cambridge for a body rebuild. They came back with smooth panelling thus losing the original 'cummerbund' effect of the original Chiswick built body. LT1009 was the prototype Marshall rebuild returning to service 11/48. The rebuilding gave LT1009 a few more years service until being replaced by an RF in 1952.
It is seen here on the 236 working from Tottenham (AR) garage in December 1948.
