PBU925, former Oldham Corporation Metro-Cammell bodied Titan PD2/30 initially fleetnumber 425 and new in 12/58, by then working for SELNEC as 5325 heads for Chadderton Hall Park on Route 4.
It was part of a batch numbered 419-428, with further PD2/30s being bodied by Roe (429-452) and Northern Counties (453-462) arriving about the same time.
It was one of only a few of these PBU-registered Titans to end its days in Oldham's original livery. Most received the pommard and cream and some wore the Sunglow orange/white SELNEC scheme. The Roe bodied examples were the favoured buses and 433/6 saw service for many months more than the others. 429-39/45/7/9 received SELNEC livery and only a few of the Metro-Cammell examples did, but none of the Northern Counties bodied ones was so treated. 391 was the only one from the NBU-registered PD2/20s to receive SELNEC livery and that was as a driver training vehicle.
I nipped out one evening after school to take photos and the light was beginning to fade when I took this. I wish I'd had larger prints done, but as we all know, there was much less money about at the time and people thought that I was daft to waste my pocket money taking photos of buses anyway! Such is life, but if only I had Doctor Who's tardis I'd go back and take more!!
As you may notice PBU925 is at the time wearing its number plate above the designated plate on the radiator cover. This seemed to have come about in the preceding few months.
