New this year for the Ensignbus vintage running day was route X86 between Upminster and Brentwood. This was worked by two vehicles, during the morning an RF and AEC Regal Green Line coach T499 ELP223, seen here at Upminster station. This bus was repatriated from Australia and has undergone a very thorough restoration. Its first public appearance in Green line livery was at the TfL Year of the Bus display in Regent Street this summer, but I think this was its first occasion in normal public service.
