Seen at the North Weald is Routemaster RM857, WLT857, which had obviously just emerged from restoration and looks very smart.
It carries the AP garage code for Seven Kings and blinds for route 193. This route started as a direct replacement for trolleybus route 693, being extended beyond the Chadwell Heath trolleybus terminus to run from Barking to Romford and Hornchurch. It was cut back in 1982 to become a local route between Romford and Hornchurch, which it remains to this day.
