On some occasions London Bus Co. also run journeys on back road route 381 from North Weald to Epping via Toot Hill. Here RF401, MXX289, has arrived at Epping Station and is ready to return to North Weald on the last journey of the day.
The rather more modern vehicle trying to get out of the way is a Dennis Dart of SM Coaches on the Epping-Harlow service.
