Fancy a cuppa?

Leeds Horsfield 153, was the third of the four prototypes built by the Transport Department, prior to an order for 100.
It has an L.C.T. body seating 37/23 on an E.M.B. Flexible axle truck, and was new in July 1930. It was withdrawn on 28th March 1959 and was burned on 24th May 1959 at George Cohen’s yard at Brown Lane, Holbeck. It is seen negotiating the first of the two bends in Armley Road, to take it over the railway line from Leeds to Harrogate. Because of the limited clearance on the two corners, only four wheel trams were allowed on the route which at that time went as far as Half Mile Lane/Stanningley. In earlier days it had also served the tram routes to Bradford, Pudsey and Rodley.
