
This (admittedly poor) further shot of the rebuilt 208, GJN508D, working on a seafront duty shows why single deckers were the preferred choice for such substitutions - the low Pier bridge meant that most closed top double deckers were banned, although there were occasional appearances by Bridgemasters, Lowlanders and the closed top lowbridge PD3s, 315/6.
