Western National 2918, 60GUO, was new to Southern National as its 2255 in June 1961, a Bristol MW6G with ECW C39F coachwork, and was delivered in Royal Blue livery.
It was transferred to Western National in November 1969, two months prior to Southern National being formally integrated with Western National in January 1970.
From August to November 1973, 2255 was on loan to Alder Valley, followed by a stint on loan to Crosville during 1974. 2255 was re-seated to B41F and repainted into bus livery in October 1974, being renumbered 2918 in the process.
It was sold to W. North (dealer) in August 1978, passing to Kinross Plant & Construction, Kinross the following month. In September 1979 it was transferred to Kinross Plant & Construction at Sullom Voe, Shetland, eventually passing to Ripley, Monk Bretton some time after May 1982.
(Most of the above information was gleaned from the late Gerry Tormey's Bristol Vehicles website).
