Leeds City Tramways 28 was a Brush 36/22 seat open top car with a Peckham Cantilever type 10 truck built in 1902 as part of a contract for fifty cars with British Thomson-Houston.
In 1904 it was fitted with this top cover.
This card was posted in December 1908 and, judging by the presence of staff at the front of both decks, the interest shown by passers-by, and the destination blind showing Stanningley when it was travelling towards Pudsey, suggests it could be on a staff training run prior to the opening of the Pudsey extension in June 1908.
