Hall Bros., South Shields H31, ECU755E, was one of five Leyland Leopard PSU3/4R with Plaxton C49F bodies new in May 1967.
They were the final new vehicles purchased before the acquisition of Hall Bros by Barton Transport, Chilwell in July 1967. Hall Bros operated separately until January 1971, H31 being numbered 1174 when the final Hall Bros vehicles were absorbed into the main Barton fleet.

It was withdrawn in September 1974 and passed to Arlington (dealer), Potters Bar before seeing further service with JT Waites Coaches Ltd, Altrincham in June 1975 and LL Thompson (Lesters of Norbury), London SW16 from March 1977. After that it passed to Great Wyrley High School, Great Wyrley in November 1981. It is reported that its final licence expired in February 1988.
