Barton, Chilwell 884, JXC167, seen in Huntingdon Street, outside the bus station, was an A.E.C. 0961 Regent III with a Cravens H30/26R body.
It had been new as London Transport RT1404 in January 1949 and had passed to McKechnie and Cole (Cream Bus Service), Stamford via Bird (dealer) Stratford-upon-Avon in March 1957. Barton acquired it with the McKechnie and Cole (Cream Bus Service), Stamford business in February 1961. It was withdrawn in 1967 passing to Furborough (dealer), Leicester in August 1967, for scrap.
