Southend Corporation 246, JVW561, a Daimler CWA6 new to Benfleet and District in 1944, bought by Southend in 1955 and converted to open top the following year.
I can't remember the conductor's name but he was one of the "old-timers" who moved on to the open-top rota in summers. You can see also him in this picture taken two years later.
