John Boylett Memorial Collection Part 4 - 1963

Southend 207, 2718HJ, a Leyland Leopard L1 with Weymann B43D body, new in late 1961.
With a journey time of 12 minutes and a half hour frequency, the 9 was a one bus route during the day, almost always operated by one of the two Leopards.
The two were withdrawn in March 1978 and sold to the local Castle Point Bus Company (Smith & May, Benfleet) but both bodies were damaged beyond repair in a fire in July 1980.
