East Midland D144, 144ENN, a Leyland Atlantean PDR1 with Weymann L73F bodywork delivered in 1960. It is seen here on hire to North Western passing New Mills operating service 28 to Manchester (LMS). North Western must have been less than impressed with the lowbridge layout of the Atlantean, as they decided to buy Fleetlines which could be lowheight without resort to the sunken side gangway at the rear of the upper saloon.
