Despite not competing with any other operator the Thames Weald route did have one busy section, between Romford and Aveley, as at that time Aveley (with quite a large London overspill population) had no other direct service to Upminster and Romford. (Such a service was later, for a time, to be provided by London Country service 373, a variant on the Romford-Grays route 370.) One of the vehicles used regularly on this section was Bedford/Plaxton HMK140B, seen here in Romford.
