A selection of photos taken by the late David Manning, posted courtesy of Brian Pask and the Essex Transport Group.
David Manning was the son of a busman, but did not himself go into the bus industry, working for many years for BT, although latterly he worked on various survey jobs for London Buses. He was always interested in transport, having a particular liking for Switzerland and the Isle of Wight, and was a prolific photographer. Brian first met him on a trolleybus tour in Walsall and later became involved with him in the Essex Transport Group, running stands at transport shows selling the group's photos.
David died suddenly of cancer in April 2012 at the age of 61. His photographic slides and negatives survive in the care of the Essex Transport Group and thanks to Brian, some are being posted here in his memory.
