The Back End of the Bus

Photo © West Yorkshire Information Service Collection. Please do not re-post without permission.

One of a batch of rear end photographs taken by West Yorkshire to illustrate advert sites and/or for the respective advertisers. This is 350, BWY982, a Bristol K5G with ECW L24/24R body, new in November 1937.
This view is post-War, though the remains of the white wartime outlining are still visible at the base of the rear panel. The depot is Grove Park, Harrogate. In 1949 it was rebodied with a new ECW L27/28R body and low, PV2, radiator. Under the April 1954 renumbering it became DG 4; was withdrawn in October 1959 and then ran for Knowles, Oulton near Leeds, until 1964.
