Bristol LS5G 409, 29ENO, new in November 1955 and later renumbered 1229, seen in a now unrecognisable Laindon on local route 258 from the station to Church Road.
Out of use from May 1973 to May 1975 (as part of a streategic reserve of LSs and LDs kept during severe shortages of parts and delays to new vehicle deliveries), it was one of several LSs nevertheless sold to London Borough of Waltham Forest for use as school buses.
