Edinburgh 511, LWS511, was a Leyland PD2/20 with MCCW H34/29R body new in March 1955, one of a batch of 100.
In April 1975 it was one of 15 similar vehicles (including five from the LWS batch) acquired by Dundee Corporation as 1-15 in that fleet. These all transferred to the new Tayside Regional Council on 16 May 1975. All 15 were withdrawn in 1977. 511, as Tayside 6, became driver training bus T6 in November 1977 before going to T Wigley (dealer), Carlton, for scrap in July 1979.
The coach visible behind LWS511 would have been LSY477, a Bedford VAL14 with Duple Vega Major bodywork of William Hunter, Loanhead, where it had been new in June 1963 and withdrawn 'by October 1972'. It passed, early in 1973, to W Irvine, Law but was stolen and burnt out around February 1974.
