Barton Transport 1058, 45DJF, was a Plaxton C49F bodied AEC Reliance 4MU3RA which had been new to Provincial Garage (Leicester) Ltd, as R18, in April 1962.
Barton purchased the Provincial business, including twelve coaches, in May 1966. After withdrawal 1058 was operated by JW Carnell Ltd, Sutton Bridge, from July 1974 until July 1975, Beestons (Hadleigh) Ltd, from September 1975 to October 1976 and Rules Coaches Ltd, Boxford from October 1976 until May 1982, when it passed to C Meynell. Carlton (dealer). It was sold for scrap to another Carlton delaler in September 1984.
