Brighton Corporation AEC Regent FUF65 with Weymann H30/26R body, fleet no. 65, was one of twenty one similar vehicles delivered in April and May 1939.
These buses had the final version of the 8.8 litre engine which began life in 1930 with Ricardo Comet indirect fuel injection cylinder heads, but then evolved into a direct injection engine in 1938 with Leyland type flower pot cavity pistons for London Transport and finally into one with toroidal cavity pistons for the main market. Another Regent is behind no. 65, whilst trolleybus no. 29, FUF29, waits alongside.

The picture was taken in the late Autumn of 1960 at the Old Steine terminal point.
