Charles W Banfield Ltd, London SE15, 410ALC, was one of a pair of Duple Britannia C41C bodied Leyland Leopard L1 new in June 1960.
It was allocated fleet number 54 c.3/66 and withdrawn in November 1973. It was then acquired by Duke of Wellington Angling Society, London E5, in April 1974, and they ran it until October 1980 or thereabouts.
The occasion was the Women's Hockey International, an annual event which was normally staged at Wembley Stadium. However, for the 1970 fixture Wembley was not available and the game was played at the White City Stadium. A temporary coach park was opened on the west side of Scrubs Lane, on Wormwood Scrubs. The game, between England and Australia, ended in a 1-1 draw.
