Apart from a Bedford OB bought in 1960 and a VAL14 bought in 1967, 1974 was the only year in which Bedfords joined the Dearneways fleet. As well as those which came with the Fretwell business, four former Grey-Green five year old Plaxton Panorama Elite C45F bodied VAM70s were acquired (WLT581-4G). WLT581G, seen here entering Sheffield Central Bus Station on the evening of 27 June 1975, with the iconic Park Hill Flats in the background, stayed the longest, being withdrawn in 1979; the rest went in 1978.
