Jervis, Wellington FDB605, a Leyland PSU1/15 with Leyland C41C body, new 1952.
Wellington was a source of great bus interest, not just Midland Red but the various members of the Shropshire Operators Association. Jervis was a member, running a fleet of cream and maroon elderley vehicles. His 'new' coach in 1962 was this ten year old Royal Tiger from NWRCC. I rather liked the way he painted it to match his Windover bodied Foden, FUJ 93 with matching wheel spats. Jervis later sold out to Coopers in 1964 when FDB was repainted orange and brown. Coopers later 'did the dirty' and sold out to Midland Red leading to the collapse of the SOA, the rest is history. FDB is seen here parked on East Park Road on Wolves football duty; those were the days!
