DCF663 was a Crossley DD42/3 which was fitted from new with this Strachans FC33F body. It is seen here in Luton whilst with Parkinson, Welwyn Garden City.
The chassis was built in 1946 and exported to South Africa. A frustrated order resulted in the chassis, along with four others, being returned to England and stored in CKD condition until 1949. In late 1950 it was updated to a later mechanical specification and bodied for a dealer who sold it to Taylor, Bildeston in June 1951. It had passed to Parkinson in May 1958.
