Seen in King Charles Street, Leeds opposite the King Charles Model Centre is CVE551, a Leyland SKPZ2 Cub with a Harrington C26F body in the fleet of Cawthorne (Majestic Motors), Barugh.
It had been new to Mansfield, Burling & Welsh (Burwell & District), Burwell 14 in May 1938, passing to Hanson (Gomersal Motors), Gomersal in April 1951 and to Cawthorne in February 1952. The King Charles Model Centre was run by Matt Ascough who later moved to Ireland and started dealing in buses and coaches and building bodies including the Asco Clubman.
