In 1974, Dearneways acquired the business of Fretwell of Bentley, Doncaster and added four former Fretwell vehicles to its own fleet. One was a Plaxton bodied AEC Reliance (HDT779J), and two were Duple bodied Bedford VAMs (NDT626E and UWW981F). The AEC soon went, but the Bedfords survived until 1978. CDT310H was the other Fretwell coach retained and was kept until 1980. As a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Leyland Leopard PSU3A/4R, it fitted in well with other similar Dearneways coaches.
In this picture, taken in June 1979, it was leaving Bridlington along Hilderthorpe Road.
