We Northeasterners can home it on an exile miles away, even if it means ignoring the charms of a sunny Harrington coach adjacent. ANL806B was a AEC Reliance 2MU3RA with Plaxton Panorama C41F new in February 1964 as Armstrong, Westerhope 136, the first of three.
It gained its distinctive elegant livery with Clayton, Leicester in March 1970.
Clayton was a diversion from the Irish Sea for the coach, as Hogg of Carlisle had taken it along the A69 from Westerhope in January 1968. It returned north to King, Kirkcowan in April 1975 - still a current operator in 2016 - before its final two months of service with Yeowart, Whitehaven in April 1977, and sale for scrap in August. I'm pleased with the slide and human interest but with hindsight inclusion of the Leicester Titan in higher resolution was probably a mistake!
