This is a view outside the Tregony garage of Lidgey's Coaches, it shows the rear of AEK431, a Bedford SB with Plaxton C35F bpdy.
This vehicle was built in 1952 and was originally with Clarington Wigan, it was with Lidgey's from 5/56-11/62 . The pleasant livery was pale green/off white, it shows one of my pet hates....the overspray /feathering carried out where the roof colour meets the main body of the coach. In this case if masking had been applied to either side of the outside edge of the rear window, the darker colour could have run down to the trim strip just above the boot lid , it could have followed the roof guttering on the other side. This may of course have been considered but deemed too expensive.
Again please make allowances for a slightly dodgy shot.
