There were three routes into Mixenden but probably the most attractive was along Mill Lane with the valley of the Hebble brook behind. At this time this road was served by the 11 and 13 making a loop in each direction through Mixenden. Seen here working a 13 out of Mixenden to Illingworth and back to Halifax is the solitary Alexander-bodied Daimler Fleetline, BHD222C.
This vehicle merited roller blinds for its fleet number as well as route numbers as in the course of its fairly short life it had been Yorkshire Woollen District 983, then 132 before being transferred to Hebble as 350, later renumbered 624. On the demise of Hebble it later became Halifax C. T. 103 and eventually, as seen here, Metro Calderdale 3103. Referring to Paul Haywood's photo of it on this site I see even then I've missed one! It returned to Yorkshire Woollen briefly after the end of Hebble, as their 146.
