Yorkshire Woollen District 143, YWB153, a Leyland Titan PD2/20 with E.C.W. H31/28RD body, new to Sheffield Joint Committee 'C' fleet in 1957.
Following the dissolution of the NBC's former railway-owned Sheffield 'C' fleet operation on the first day of 1970, the fleet was dispersed - some going to other subsidiaries. This was one of a unique pair of ECW-bodied PD2's - a combination that only came about due to ECW bodies being available to the 'C' fleet through its nationalised railway connection. Along with some Roe-bodied examples they passed to YWD in 1970, and 143 is seen here on a dull day in Dewsbury Bus Station shortly afterwards, en route for Bradford. It was renumbered 474 in 1971, withdrawn in 1972, and passed to the dealer Martin's of Weaverham - after which it is presumed to have been scrapped.
