Yorkshire Traction 343, XHE230, a 1962 Leopard with Willowbrook body, the first 36' Leopard bought by Tracky.
When new they were numbered 1230-32, XHE 230-2, had Willowbrook DP47F bodies and were used on the Motorway Express service to London. They were painted in the smart reversed cream and red coach livery (see this picture of XHE231 at London Victoria).
They became 200-202 in the 1967 Tracky renumbering scheme.
XHE 230 was downgraded to B53F around 1969, presumably acquiring the front dome destination box at the same time and was renumbered 343.
343 was withdrawn in 1976 and is seen here in its as withdrawn condition at the depot.
The NBC poppy red is a far cry from its original coach livery!
