Another view to add to the growing collection of shots taken at Berresford's, Cheddleton. This is taken earlier than those uploaded so far, and as can be seen was taken on an enthusiasts' tour (West Yorkshire Information Service in this case).
I recall we all had to sign to say we would supply Mr. Berresford with a copy of each of the photos taken during our visit. I wonder if anyone ever did?
In this view, what looks like the ex Bury Corporation TD7 with Northern Counties body appears on the left, prior to having the engine bay stuffed with miscellaneous parts as in John Stringer's photo. Next to that is, presumably, HG2302 the ex Burnley, Colne & Nelson Leyland TD3C with Park Royal body, and next to that, RJ6628 the ex Salford Corporation AEC Regent 0661 with Metro Cammell body, taken when it still retained most of its glass!
In the background are a couple of ex Stockport Leyland PD2s, which I think were still in service at the time and, indeed, had probably been only recently acquired.
The stripped body shell in the middle distance is a mystery.
