MWY229 was a Bristol LS5G with ECW DP41F body, new to West Yorkshire Road Car Company in July 1954 as EUG18. It was renumbered SUG18 in March 1959, though with no change to the seating, and withdrawn in November 1969. Sold to Norths, dealer, Sherburn in November 1970 it went on to have a short further life with Henry Boot, contractor, from January to May 1971 and during that time parked up each night on York Road, Leeds.
OWX164 was a Bristol Lodekka LD6B with ECW H33/27RD body, new in November 1955 as West Yorkshire DX 20. Withdrawn in April 1969 it passed to Norths, dealer, Sherburn in Elmet in September 1970 and on to Wray (Ideal), Hoyle Mill near Barnsley. Unusually, after this, instead of being scrapped it was exported to the USA in November 1973 and, although not seen for many years, could possibly still exist.
RWW972 was a Bristol LS5G with ECW DP41F body, new to West Yorkshire Road Car Company in July 1956 as EUG 47. It was renumbered SUG47 in March 1959 on demotion to bus, again with no change to seating, but unlike SUG18 it was subsequently reseated in February 1964 to B45F and further renumbered to SMG 47. Withdrawn in November 1969 it passed to Norths, dealer, Sherburn in Elmet, in November 1970; to British Radio Corporation, Gosport, by March 1971; they later became Thorn Electronics and the bus was finally scrapped in 1975. Here it has lost its ECW "wings" badge from the front panel, but this was replaced later (perhaps by Norths) by the time of sale to BRC.
OWX181 was a Bristol Lodekka LD6B with ECW H33/27RD body, new in March 1956 as West Yorkshire Road Car Company DX 37. Withdrawn in September 1969, and painted into disposal livery as can be seen here, this was the other LD type Lodekka that was reprieved and converted into a learner bus, in November 1970 and in this case numbered 4027. This lasted until October 1977, but unlike its sister, OWX176 (4026), this was not sold to Norths but to Booth, dealer, Rotherham in September 1978 and immediately scrapped.
