In the shadow of the city walls opposite York Station is West Yorkshire SGL15, JWU885, a 1950 Bristol LL5G with ECW B39R bodywork.
The yellow depot allocation spot can be seen next to the fleet number which denotes a York based bus, but not part of the York-West Yorkshire fleet. York had sub depots at Malton and Scarborough. Behind is 1952 Bristol KSW6B DBW17 KWU373 with ECW L55R bodywork awaiting departure for Thirsk. Buses still leave from these stops but plans are afoot to create a bus station on the land alongside the railway station.
