August 1954 at the Cross Streets Hotel, Austwick with buses returning from Keswick on the X87 service. The LS5G dual purpose West Yorkshire EUG18, MWY229, on the left had only entered service just a month earlier, whilst the coach LS6G number CUG2, LWR407, was from June 1952.
Both were bound for Bradford, and perhaps the buses behind, including what looks like a Ribble Leyland integral Olympic with Weymann B44F body, could be running onto Leeds. The difference in front bumper bars between the CUG and the EUG can be noted
